Do you need concrete for your site in the West midlands, Worcestershire or Shropshire?
Are you wondering if you’ll need concrete pump hire?
Has your site got hard-to-reach areas that will make barrowing difficult?
Or are you doing an extension in the back garden but want to keep mess to a minimum?
Here’s everything you need to know about Jacksons concrete pumping services – from what pumps we use to how you prepare for a delivery.

What is a concrete line pump?

A concrete line pump is a machine mounted on the back of our truck, that pumps concrete from a the concrete mixer into a powerful hydraulic pump and then on through a series of steel and rubber pipes that run along the ground, around any obstacles, to where the concrete is needed.

At Jacksons concrete pumping, we use a selection of both, 90 and 45-degree “elbow” joints to create the most efficient route from our truck to where the concrete is needed.

Most jobs usually require up to 30m of line, but we can supply over 100m if needed.

What will Happen on the day?

On the day the concrete line pump is required, we will arrive on site slightly before the concrete is due to arrive, allowing for us to get set up, with the correct amount of line from the concrete pump to the desired location.

Once this is set up the Barrel mixer or volumetric mixer will arrive and reverse up to the hopper of the concrete pump.

They will then start to discharge the freshly mixed concrete in to the concrete pumps hopper, our operators will then operate the pump to transport the concrete to your desired location.

Once the pour is completed our operators will then pack away the line and wash out the pumps hopper (we will need to dispose of the wash out onsite).

Once this is done we will wash the area down and leave the site as we found it.
